Gordon is a Graduate Architect registered in the state of Texas. He began his career in Ohio in 1970, and was licensed to practice architecture there in 1983. He later moved to Florida where he was also licensed and there became a partner in an architectural firm.

In 2005 he moved to Gruene, Texas where he is a partner in Riverstone Designs Inc., which provides custom Interior Design services as well as Architectural services. He is currently involved in master planning and designing a 40,000 square foot commercial development in Gruene, as well as designing custom homes, restaurants and churches in the area. Gordon is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has been a two-time past president of the Southwest Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI). The CSI is a professional organization comprised of architects, builders and product manufacturers. They are dedicated to providing specifications, which will ensure that quality products will be provided in the construction process. The CSI has been at the forefront in providing specifications and information related to “green” building projects. As a CSI member, Gordon was actively involved in a “green” product fair co-sponsored by Florida Gulf Coast University. “Green” products were displayed and seminars were held to educate the construction industry and building owners regarding sustainable design and use of “green” products.

Gordon’s experience in over 150 projects over the last 36 years uniquely qualifies him as an architect who is knowledgeable in the design and construction of all types of facilities. In addition, he has held managerial positions in various architectural firms, including Partner in Charge of Technical Services in a 35-person office in Florida. Gordon has coordinated the work of various disciplines in an array of projects from banks and office buildings, to churches and educational projects, as well as new custom residences. Many of these projects required careful master planning and phasing of construction to allow for future growth and ease of construction.
